Steve Brauer
Principal – Broker
Steve was born and raised in the Bay Area, attending Leland High School and San Jose State University’s Administration of Justice program. In 1980 Steve joined the Santa Clara Police Department, and rose to the rank of Detective Sergeant. In the 80′s and 90′s, Steve and his wife Leslie founded and managed the U-Bake Pizza stores all located in the Silicon Valley. Steve began his insurance career in 2003, specializing in health insurance related products for businesses and families. Steve and his wife Leslie have been married 33 years and enjoy their three children, their grandchild, and their Almaden Valley home.
Bonnie Brauer Shelton
Broker – Account Manager
Bonnie began her insurance career in 2008. She graduated from San Jose State University and opened a piano school teaching young children theory and lesson. In addition to writing insurance, Bonnie is our “go to person” for much of the account managing and claims issues for groups. Bonnie loves quilting, problem solving and spending time with her husband and their son “Jack”.
John Bills
Commercial Property & Casualty Specialist
John is our experienced Commercial Insurance Broker possessing the prestigious (CRIS) certification, Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist. John handles our Workers Comp, General Liability, E+O, Commercial Auto, Business Property and Bonds. John enjoys spending time with his wife Tracie and their two children, cooking, and playing the guitar and playing hockey.
Caelie Brauer
Broker – Office Manager
Caelie joined the Brauer family business in 2010. Caelie does office work and handles the Cobra compliance for our larger groups. She has attended DeAnza College and San Jose State University and is currently in the Nursing Program. Caelie loves hiking, camping, and wine tasting.
Leslie Brauer
Broker – Bookkeeper
Leslie is originally from Santa Clara, co-founded the U-Bake Pizza stores with Steve and is previously with Kaiser Permanente. She primarily works the back office keeping the financials in order. Leslie enjoys quilting, cooking and her horses.
Cheryl Rosenquist
Business Development
Cheryl is our Business Development and Networking Specialist. She interacts with businesses of all types and excels at connecting people with the right type of coverage. Cheryl has been involved with Medical Assisting at Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital and has been a Volunteer Firefighter. She enjoys running, yoga, family and pets.
Russell Brauer
Soon to be Broker
Russell is the youngest Brauer and brand new to the business, joining the team in 2012. He is currently studying for his insurance license and ” learning the ropes”. Russell enjoys motorcycles, pets and is a technology wizard.
