Employee Health Benefits is a “niche”

If you are looking for Group Employee Benefits, be cautious….there are a lot of choices out there.  Unless your broker is an EXPERT with Benefits, you may be doing yourself a disservice.  Think of it this way; if you had heart trouble, would you go to a General Practitioner, or a Cardiologist?

Its the same way with Benefits.  If your broker writes ALL lines of insurance or MANY types of insurance….it is NOT possible to be an expert at everything, there’s just not that many hours in the week to know everything about all lines of insurance.  Benefits, and San Jose Health Insurance in particular, is a “niche” product.  With the Health Reform and the ever changing landscape of Employer Health Insurance, a “General Practitioner” of insurance cannot possibly be an expert at Group Employee Benefits….its impossible!  Years ago, maybe, but with all the changes in insurance products, deductibles, copays, etc. employers are not getting the advice they deserve.

At Brauer Insurance, all we do is Benefits….that’s it!   When I got into this business, I had the option to do Life Insurance, Long Term Care, Workers Comp, 401Ks, etc, but I wanted to pick ONE THING to do really good.  I picked Group Employee Benefits.
