Health Insurance and pre-existing conditions, Palo Alto, Mountain View, Redwood City, San Francisco, CA

Until 2014 Health Insurance and pre-existing conditions will continue to be an issue.  Health Insurance in Palo Alto, Mountain View, Redwood City, San Francisco will continue to be challenging until the law changes in January 2014 when all the pre-existing condition limitations goes away.  I just had a couple call me that wants to purchase Individual Health Insurance or Family Health Insurance.  The problem they have is that the wife is pregnant.  Carriers will not even insure the husband if the wife is pregnant….can you believe that!!  Their reasoning you ask??……they say if the wife has a child and there are “problems” with the delivery or the baby has medical issues, they might be responsible for them if they insure any of the parents.  Can you believe that!!

At Brauer Insurance, we would LOVE to help people with Health Insurance and pre-existing conditions in Palo Alto, Mountain View, Redwood City and San Francisco, and come January, we WILL be able to do just that.  Love it or hate it, ObamaCare has some good aspects to it.  The absolute best, is that people that WANT to get Health Insurance with pre-existing conditions will be able to get it.  I have had to turn away so many folks that had plenty of money to buy insurance, but continued to be denied because of pre-existing conditions.  Even people that had seemingly minor issues were being declined.  There is nothing more frustrating for a good broker that is trying to help their client, when an insurance company declines the client’s application.  I had one family declined because their son PREVIOUSLY had taken a drug called Accutane.  Accutane is a drug that helps youths with severe acne, and it is very expensive.  The insurance company told me that they declined to insure them because the son MIGHT….have to go back on the medicine that he had stopped taking years ago.  Can you believe that!!

Health Insurance and pre-existing conditions can be tricky.  My advice is to find an Independent Insurance Agent that you trust, to have them go to bat for you.  Too many of my colleagues will not take the time needed to make sure that people in Palo Alto, Redwoood City, Mountain View, and San Francisco get the trusted advice that they need.

At Brauer Insurance, we are focused on making sure that people get into the plan that suites them…AND that they are not over insured at the same time, which happens very frequently.

Some agencies offer Health Insurance…..we SPECIALIZE in it!!
