There is a good chance you are overinsuring your employees, especially if you have a portfolio of expensive plans WITHOUT a strategy attached. Every company can have affordable group benefits if they have a broker that is a “specialist” in Employee Benefits. To have a strategy takes work….hopefully work on your broker’s part, NOT yours. Each year at the Employee Benefit renewal, most brokers will advise their clients to either switch to a different plan to keep pace with the cost increase, or have the employees pick up a larger share of the cost.
